Overview and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Kunna collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use kunna.co, Kindo mobile apps, and related services. This policy applies only to information processed through Kindo and related channels. It does not automatically apply to third-party services that may be linked from Kindo, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created while you use Kindo, and limited technical information collected automatically. Depending on how you use Kindo, this may include account details (name, email, login identifiers), household and profile details, tasks, reminders, calendar events, grocery and meal planning entries, pet care records, notes, budgets, saved places, uploaded media, support communications, device identifiers, app version, IP address, crash diagnostics, and interaction logs.

Family and household data

Kindo is built for shared household collaboration. Information you add may include data about family members, children, or other invited participants. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to share information about others in your household space. Access to shared content depends on membership and permissions within that household workspace.

Location-related information

If you enable location features, Kindo may process location-related information to provide map, place, or context-aware functionality. Location permissions are controlled at the device level and can typically be changed in your device settings. Some location features may not work if location access is disabled.

How we use information

We use personal information to operate and deliver Kindo features, authenticate users, sync shared household content, personalize app experience, support collaboration, maintain security, detect fraud or abuse, fix bugs, monitor performance, improve product quality, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, and communicate important service notices.

Legal bases for processing

Where required by applicable law, we process personal information on one or more legal bases: performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests (such as security and service improvement), compliance with legal obligations, and consent (for example, optional marketing or certain device permissions). You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to legal and technical limitations.

How we share information

Kindo is intended for family organization use, including supervised household scenarios. If a minor uses Kindo, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for that use and for permissions related to personal information submitted through the service, as required by applicable law.

Kindo may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their data practices are independent from Kunna and governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review third-party privacy notices before sharing information with those services.

Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. When updates are material, we will revise the effective date and provide notice where required by law. Continued use of Kindo after the effective date of an update means the updated policy applies, where permitted by law.
